John is a 55-year resident of Bethel. He is co-owner of Ellis & Sons Lawn Service and former owner of Bethel Power Equipment Company.  He is a 20–year member of the Bethel Planning and Zoning Commission, helping develop Bethel’s Plan of Conservation and Development, the Route 6 Study and served on the Charter Revision Commission.  John is a member of Elks Lodge #120, St Mary Church and Bethel Republican Town Committee.  He is a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical School.  John has one child.
