About Amybeth

Candidate for the 28th Senate District

Amybeth LaRoche is a government contracting professional who has managed more than $7 billion in Department of Defense contracts. She's known for finding waste and inefficiency in federal and corporate budgets — digging into the data and financial systems others consider insurmountable.


She entered politics out of frustration with stagnation and a "defeatist mindset" in Hartford. Families are stretched, businesses are leaving, and trust in government is at an all-time low. Amybeth's priorities are to restore fiscal discipline, make strategic investments, and ensure tax dollars serve the public — not bureaucratic waste.


A Newtown resident who grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island, Amybeth comes from a military family that taught her service, sacrifice, and accountability. She is a working parent and experienced professional — not a career politician — and serves on the Newtown Board of Finance, where she emphasizes transparency, fiscal responsibility, and practical solutions.
